everyone can use a break!
What’s better than getting to attend an Origami Owl Jewelry Bar? How about having the Jewelry Bar brought to you?! I’ve had many
requests from my customers and hostesses to “drop by” their office and leave some Take Out Menus or a sample locket so they can
share with co-workers. Instead of teasing them with just a piece or two of jewelry, I decided to bring a Jewelry Bar to them! I began offering Office Lunch Time Jewelry Bars a few months ago & the response has been amazing! The guests love getting to spend their breaks shopping and having fun and I’m helping hostesses earn lots of free and half price jewelry!
Ready to add office Jewelry Bars to your business plan? Here’s how!
BOOKING AN OFFICE JEWELRY BAR
I utilize social media and word-of-mouth for a lot of my office jewelry bars. Staying connected and forming relationships with my customers and hostesses allows me to stay up to date on where they work or who they might know. Offering an office Jewelry Bar to them when they are making a purchase from me or when they mention wanting to host a Jewelry Bar can sometimes help over obstacles. Many times if they want to earn the free product but have excuses such as “I don’t know many people” or “I don’t want to have to clean my entire house” I can overcome that objection by offering to hold the Jewelry Bar at their place of work during lunch time. I’ve even held some office jewelry bars that were in addition to a regular home Jewelry Bar, which greatly increased the hostess’s total sales.
Thinking of lunch time or office Jewelry Bars as another offering you can give to your customers will make it very easy to fill your calendar and will show your hostesses how committed and unique you are with your business.
TYPES OF OFFICE JEWELRY BARS
You can create a unique experience for your customers in many different ways. Here are some things I have done in the past with my office Jewelry Bars:
- a full Jewelry Bar with cash & carry (this may be depend on if you are able to stay the entire time)
- a Take Out Party or sampling of product
- “Snacks & Shopping” – I offer a gallon of punch and a simple veggie tray or snack wraps
- “Lunch Time Fashion Show” – interactive lunch time party with guests wearing sample lockets
- “Employee Appreciation” – the owner or manager coordinates the party to purchase gifts for employees — works really well with medical offices
OFFICE JEWELRY BAR TIPS
The key to success is ensuring you plan properly and have tied all the loose ends before the Jewelry Bar. Make sure you have permission to setup in the office and let them know how long you expect to be there (including setup and tear down time).
Ask the hostess or office manager if there is adequate room for you to setup and if you need to bring extra tables. I always ask if information can be distributed or posted about a week ahead of time, too. This way, employees in other departments may even join in on the Jewelry Bar and everyone will have their Wish Lists ready!
I also try to plan the Jewelry Bar around the pay period of the business. This way it’s very convenient for them to plan for and taking payments should be very simple.
GIVE IT A TRY
Just like vendor shows or home Jewelry Bars, your first office Jewelry Bar will be your practice and you will learn and tweak as you continue to hold them. These types of Jewelry Bars can greatly increase the number of people you reach, grow your customer base and expand your business very quickly!
