ENROLLING AS AN ORIGAMI OWL INDEPENDENT DESIGNER
So, you’ve decided that you are ready to join the O2 family and become an independent designer? Congratulations on taking the first step on this amazing journey! You will be welcomed with open arms by the home office (we call it the Nest!) fellow designers and leaders, and your new teammates!
But first things first — you will want to enroll right away so your kit will be at your doorstep before you know it! Plus, as soon as you complete your designer enrollment, your website goes live – which means you can start sharing the O2 love and earning commission right away! I’m going to walk you through the enrollment process, step by step with images so you can follow along. You will need your payment information as well as your mentor’s ID number to enroll.
Don’t have a mentor chosen yet? Contact me and I will help you find a mentor in your area or you can join my team. First, you’ll want to open your browser to the Origami Owl homepage – or your mentor’s replicated site if you have that information.
Next, you will hover over the Join Our Team menu button and click on Apply.
A pop-up window will appear asking for your mentor’s ID number. (HINT: If you started on your mentor’s replicated website, the site will automatically enter their ID number and you will skip this step.) If you don’t have your mentor’s number or haven’t chosen a mentor yet, you can continue without entering a number here and you will have 10 days to notify the Nest of your mentor choice. If you don’t notify them then you will be placed with a designer.
Next, you will choose your Business Launch Kit. You can find more info on the two kit choices in my post Origami Owl Business Launch Kits. You will want to choose between the Basic Business Package and the Deluxe Business Package. You have the option to choose to have your kit in English or Spanish. Also note — your mentor’s information is also listed at the top of the page so you can double check that you entered their ID number correctly!
Now you will complete the enrollment with all of your personal information. Be sure to enter your billing and shipping addresses correctly, especially if they are different.
At the bottom of the information page you will see a space for your replicated website URL. This is the website that you will send your customers and hostesses to in order to place orders with you. You will want to choose something that is simple, easy to remember and not already in use. For example, I entered “create” in this box — my website is create.origamiowl.com
Here you are also going to choose if you want to pay for your O2 Bundle monthly or yearly. This bundle includes the use of your replicated website, customer newsletter and contact manager — three HUGE business tools that you will want to take advantage of. If you choose to pay for the yearly subscription you even save $10!
The last section is the Terms & Conditions, Policies & Procedures and your ESIGN. These are very important documents and you should read these thoroughly before joining. You will then check the box to agree and complete your enrollment.
Now you will enter your payment information — be sure the name on your card and billing information are correct. Then click on PROCESS ENROLLMENT.
You are now officially an Origami Owl Independent Designer! You will receive an email confirmation that includes your Designer ID # and password, as well as the info showing after you process your enrollment. Start sharing your new business with everyone – you can post on social media sites, add emails to your contact manager and begin planning your launch Jewelry Bar immediately!
