Something I hear quite frequently is, “You have so much Origami Owl jewelry…. Are you spending all your profits!?” And I completely understand, I always have the latest charms, hostess exclusive set and am changing up my earring drops to match my outfit. The answer to their question is – of course I’m not spending all my profits! I’m earning my jewelry for FREE — just like my hostesses do! Every quarter (sometimes every month!) I host my own Jewelry Bar! I invite my friends, family, previous customers and hostesses, plus any potential or new designers who would like to see a Jewelry Bar in action! This is also a great way to announce and highlight new product or a fresh Take Out Menu.
Hosting your own Jewelry Bar will help you stay current on all the updates and new product, keep you sharp on your booking and sponsoring skills, and help you stay connected with customers and hostesses.
You don’t have to hold an extravagant event for your Jewelry Bar to be successful either. A simple open house at your home or a restaurant will be perfect. (Shoot for the restaurant if you’re worried about cleaning your house!) Most restaurants like Panera Bread will allow you to set up your product if you call and speak to the manager first. This will also allow you to connect with customers of the restaurant who are curious as to what’s going on at your table!
Don’t forget to ask each person who attends to reserve a Jewelry Bar and if they say no, make sure you know if that’s a “no not now” or a “no not ever”. Many times a “no not now” simply has questions about hosting that you can answer for them to help them commit.
You will be able to use the hostess rewards from your Jewelry Bar to beef up your display or you can even raffle them off to any of the guests who attended and placed an order!
