free printable mileage log!
A new year is upon us and you know what that means — time to start preparing for your tax appointment! And I have to admit, I am not the most organized when it comes to keeping records. I do have everything I need but they aren’t stored in the most easily searchable fashion. One of my biggest downfalls has always been mileage tracking. For our business we are traveling a lot – driving to Jewelry Bars, meeting potential new designers and hostesses, attending trainings and vendor events – so we do record a lot of mileage expense. It always seems to end up recorded on backs of receipts, on napkins or jotted into my Note where it will take me hours and hours to compile at the end of the year. So, to save myself some time and sanity, I created a basic mileage log to record our mileage expense throughout the year.
I know many people use forms and files in different ways – personally I like to use the ARC system from Staples for all my records, planners and forms. I like that I can add and remove pages as I need to. You can check out my video tutorial on how to ARC your own planner here. I used a 6″ x 8.5″ size ARC notebook to hold my mileage log and added a cute vinyl label to the front. Now we keep the notebook in our vehicle glove compartment so that when we travel somewhere I can immediately record the mileage in the log and not have to worry about back tracking later on!
I’ve created the mileage log in letter size and half page size PDFs for you to download (and added a few blank pages just in case you have a busy month!)
